HOLY MOSES: 'Agony Of Death' Preview Available

July 23, 2008

Long-running German thrashers HOLY MOSES are streaming an eight-minute preview of their new album, "Agony of Death", on the band's MySpace page.

Due on September 29 in Europe (except in Germany, where it will arrive on September 26) and October 7 in the U.S. via Wacken Records/SPV, the CD was recorded at the Blue Castle Studio near Hamburg with producer/guitar player Michael Hankel.

"Agony of Death" will be made available in three different versions, each featuring the songs in a different sequence. The lavish digipack with a fold-out cover will include 12 songs plus all intros and outros in conceptual order. The regular jewel case will consist of ten tracks without intros and outros, or, as singer Sabina Classen calls it, "without frills and full in the face." The double vinyl edition will feature one intro and one outro per side, "sort of a golden mean between the opulent digipack and the straightforward jewel case," according to a press release. This allows every fan to choose the version they like best.

HOLY MOSES will take part in the Wacken Open Air featival in early August. They will then travel all over Europe on a co-headlining tour with BENEDICTION beginning in late September before embarking on their first tour of North America in early 2009. Shows in South America, Japan and Australia have also been scheduled.

An audio interview with Sabina Classen conducted on March 22, 2008 by Gino Alache of Rockum Radio (broadcasting out of Lima, Peru) is available for download at this location.

Fan-filmed video footage of HOLY MOSES' January 16, 2008 concert in Lyon, France can be viewed below.

HOLY MOSES' last CD, "Strength Power Will Passion", was released in the U.S. in September 2005 via Crash Music Inc. The group's tenth album was the follow-up to 2002's "Disorder of the Order", which came out through Century Media.
